Product type

FunderMax Compact interior panels are high pressure laminate panels manufactured under high pressure at high temperature. They are made primarily from wood that is processed into multiple “kraft papers”. The craft paper is impregnated with black resin on impregnating lines, dried and pressed at high pressure and heat into durable moisture resistant panels. The exhaust air extracted from the drying is treated by regenerative thermal oxidation in which heat produced thereby is redirected back into the process. For installing this efficient air handling FunderMax was given the  the “Climate:Active“ Award by the Austrian Energy Agency and the Federal Ministry for the Environment.

Natural materials

The wood used in the production accumulates as a byproduct during logging or in sawmills. FunderMax procures all its raw materials directly from suppliers that are certified under the FCS AND PEFC standards. The standards confirm that the logging occurs in accordance with internationally valid rules for sustainable forestry.

Long-lasting panels

Extensive international tests certify the exceptional durability of Compact Interior panels. The production process ensures a highly resistant surface. FunderMax Compact Interior panels do not require any maintenance to ensure a long service life. The surface of the panels is highly resistant to soiling and to highly stressed applications such as ramming protection and is highly resistant to impact marks. If necessary, they can be cleaned with standard cleaning agents.

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

FunderMax offers seven distinctive compact panels systems, all based on different applications and projects requirements.

FunderMax - Max Compact (available also in F-Quality)

Max Compact panels are interior compact panels in accordance with EN 438-4 Type CGS for heavy-duty areas of application (e.g., wet rooms, wall cladding, office furniture, etc.).

For use in non-decorative applications, e.g., machine tables, molding boards, etc., FunderMax also delivers double-sided Max Compact panels without decor: Max Compact without decor with black core and Max Compact without decor with brown core.

Max Compact panels are made to order. For customized designs, Max Compact panels can be furnished with the overlay variants (Dualis).

Max Compact panels are cut to size at extra cost and are delivered with any incidental odds and ends. FunderMax provides optimization of the cuts based on your project requirements.

       •   Cutting accuracy: ± 0.5 mm
       •   Density: approx. 90.52 lb/ft³
       •   Format tolerances:  +10 – 0 mm

The panel formats are production formats. For any necessary measurement and angle precision, cutting on all sides is recommended.

FunderMax - Max Compact panel with white core

Though similar in form and function, these compact panels exhibit the fine, stylish difference: for the first time, the panel core remains an exquisite white.

The functional properties have remained: massive high pressure laminates with double-sided decor, resistant and slim. The new compact panels’ core in a noble white fits the trend towards cooler and straighter architecture. Particularly in premium design applications, Compact with white core offers a harmonic connection between sought-after retro elements and state-of-the-art materials.

The panel formats are production formats. For any necessary measurement and angle precision, cutting on all sides is recommended.

Notes on the use of railings

       •  The thickness of the panels is directly linked to the fastening distances.
The fastening must fulfill static requirements as well as building regulations. However, the fastening distances must be reduced to at least 20% for holed panels.
Holes and slits are not supposed to be used as a climbing aid for children. Holes should not be any bigger than 2” in diameter.
       •  For recesses in FunderMax Compact Interior, it is recommended the adoption of Max Alucompact42 panels.

Hole patterns

       •  FunderMax Compact Panels can be perforated using different shapes which are mostly in the form of holes and slits.

       •  Because the panels are weakened by the recesses, it is recommended Max Alucompact42 panels be used.
       •  Never remove more than 20% of the material if intended for fall protection.

       •  The space between the holes or slits must be at least as wide as the diameter of the holes or slits. This also applies to the edge distances.

       •  If required we can provide you complete service in terms of selection of the proper method of installation based on your project requirements.
